This is a series of analogue and digital photographs from an academic field trip I went on last June, with my architecture class at ESAP. We visited Moledo, Maia, Esposende and Vila Nova de Cerveira. The houses photographed here were designed by notable Portuguese architects - namely Álvaro Siza Vieira, Eduardo Souto Moura, João Rocha and Sérgio Fernandez. A special thanks is owed to architect Sergio Fernandez, who was kind enough to let us into his house and whose patience towards us students was very much appreciated; and to professor Eurico Salgado, both for organising such a fruitful field trip and for making me look at architecture in a whole new light.
